  • Alice In Wonderland

  • The Event

BAFTA 195’s annual end of year Christmas party co-hosted by the Royal Opera House. A live screening of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland from the ROH in Covent Garden completed a magical night of behind the scenes access, cast interviews, drinks and canapés.

    The Flowers

Roses were the main attraction throughout the designs in an abundant array of vibrant clashing colours as mad as the Alice in Wonderland theme itself. Scrummy cakes, candles and a stunning Versace tea service from Options Hire were intertwined with gorgeous seasonal flowers, a moss runner and winding foliages to create a fabulous table-scape the Mad Hatter would be proud of.

  • Inspiration

The Royal Opera House’s fabulous production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was the source of inspiration for the event. Outlandish costumes, creative sets and over the top characters allowed imaginations to run wild. The events team were akin to children in a sweet shop, selecting the brightest, juiciest pallet of flowers to fit the fantastical brief.

    Favourite Feature

The tumbling glass urns spilling out in excess of 300 stunning roses pooled onto the floor creating a real spectacle. We had great fun creating the illusion and these beauties ended up becoming a real talking point of the night.

  • An Artist Portrayed, National Portrait Gallery

  • The Event

The National Portrait Galleries fundraising dinner – The Artist Portrayed. The black tie event coincided with the opening of the spectacular John Singer Sargent exhibition. The theme for the evening had been based around the concept of ‘artist portraying artist’ with the talented Grayson Perry and Jonathan Yeo in attendance.

    The Flowers

Guests were greeted with opulent displays of the freshest flowers in the richest reds and deepest pinks and purples. Perfectly classic in style, Roses, Clematis and Opulus were used in abundance throughout. Upstairs oranges and peaches met deep velvety reds and lush greens creating gorgeous table décor and stunning focal designs for a very special dinner indeed.

  • Inspiration

What greater inspiration than the interior of the National Portrait Gallery itself. Always looking to enhance the venue of each individual event, we selected a rich colour pallet that would reflect the grandeur of the 17th and 18th Century galleries.

    Favourite Feature

It was hard not to be wowed by the focal designs punctuating the galleries of the actual dinner itself. The luxurious gold urns sat pride of place surrounded by some of the finest works of Art in the country, a very proud day for us all.

  • A Summer Showcase

  • The Event

A summer showcase at Merchant Taylor’s Halls - a beautiful livery hall hidden behind the Bank of England. The party included drinks in the courtyard garden followed by a formal reception in the Drawing Room.

    The Flowers

We chose the very finest seasonal flowers in an array of bright candy colours including hydrangeas, roses, scabious, spray roses, black berries, alliums, nigella and phlox.

  • Inspiration

The Dining Room has the most beautiful wallpaper we’ve ever seen and inspired the key colours in our floral decoration. Strong sugar-candy pastel colours and equally vibrant vases were the order of the day and worked brilliantly in the courtyard garden and in the Drawing Room.

    Favourite Feature

The table centres created by Fiona were unbelievably beautiful and we loved the quirky look created by the fluorescent pastel bud vases.

  • Launch Party at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly

  • The Event

A celebration of the Hayford and Rhodes new website. We designed the flowers, we organised the event and we can’t wait to do it again.  Special thanks to our sponsors BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, Drinks Fusion, Fisher Productions, Enterprise PlantsVintageStyleHire, The Powderpuff Girls, Rosalind Miller Cakes and Jones

    The Flowers

After such a long winter we wanted to show London that Summer was finally here.  Flowers included the long-awaited Peony! (It’s great to have you back) Hydrangea, Roses, Poppies, Ranunculus and Asclepias.

  • Inspiration

Inspiration from the event stemmed from the Spring/Summer 2013 catwalk shows.  The colours were warm peaches and corals and vivid greens with luxurious touches of hot pink.

    Favourite Feature

Where do we start?  Everything about this event was spectacular. The huge dome urn arrangement in the middle of the room, the flowers that grew wildly from the coffee tables or the wall installation of plants and flower heads? We’ll leave it with you to decide!

  • 1920s Glamour

  • The Event

An intimate members party for twenty-four guests, including drinks and canapés in The Gallery followed by an evening meal in The Boardroom. Our client wanted to create a dream-like décor with a subtle 1920’s feel.

    Event Flowers

To contrast with the pale green walls we opted for Coral Peonies, Miss Piggy Roses, Sweet Avalanche Roses, Peach Avalanche Roses, Muscari, Sweet Peas, Viburnum, Larkspur and Hydrangea. The table flowers were arranged in low vases to allow for easy conversation, but we created a landscape of vases on either side of the room creating an intimate atmosphere.

  • Inspiration

We took inspiration from the classic interior decoration and the gold colouring associated with BAFTA. We opted for bright clashing flowers, masses of crystal vases, tall cut glass candle sticks and fine gold detailing on the glasses and charger plates.

    Favourite Feature

“Our guests literally gasped when they entered the room, it was like being on a movie set! The flowers looked absolutely spectacular and created such an amazing atmosphere. Thank you so much for all your hard work.”
